Spire India’s much-anticipated annual retreat, held from 13 to 15 of September 2023 at the Heritage Resort & Spas in Manesar, was an unforgettable adventure. Our group of about 2 dozen embarked on a swift journey from Gurugram, setting the stage for an incredible stay.

The following day featured invigorating training sessions led by our Country Director, Senior Managers, and our peers. There was also an exciting team competition, where the YCG team emerged victorious. In the afternoon, the team engaged in many team-building and bonding activities, including a scavenger hunt, Pictionary, poolside games, and table tennis.

Spire Chief Operating Officer, Japnit Singh, spoke at a seminar hosted by @ThinkUSADairy last week entitled, Exploring U.S. Dairy Protein Nutrition and Innovation Advantages Throughout Life’s Journey.

When it comes to health and nutrition, concerns such as cost, health and product choices are at the top of Southeast Asian consumers’ minds.

Spire Research and Consulting’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Japnit Singh, revealed this at a recent seminar attended by over 100 diverse stakeholders in the food and nutrition sector.

Japnit shared key findings from the extensive research Spire had conducted on behalf of U.S. Dairy Export Council among consumers in Southeast Asia. He also explained how Southeast Asian consumers are balancing health-conscious food choices with value and taste in a post COVID-19 era that is coupled with inflation.

The audience included the sector’s regional key opinion leaders, health professionals such as dietitians and nutritionists, academia as well as key R&D and technical personnel from food and beverage manufacturers and food service.

Last Friday, the Spire India team came together for a productive and enjoyable team-building event. The event kicked off with some friendly competitions at TIMEZONE, where the team engaged in a variety of arcade games, amassing tickets to exchange for exciting prizes as they navigated through the games.

Following the spirited gaming session, the team gathered at the renowned dining establishment, Barbeque Nation, for a delightful lunch buffet. This not only provided a well-deserved chance to refuel but also created an ideal setting for fostering camaraderie and meaningful interactions among team members.

The highlight of the event was the special cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate two colleagues’ birthdays. This added a festive touch and underscored the solidarity that defines the team.

All in all, the event served as a valuable opportunity for team members to unwind, strengthen their connections, and recharge themselves for upcoming collective pursuits.

Spire Singapore team members took time off work to go bowling last Friday, as part of their monthly staff catchup. The participants were organized into five teams of 4-5 members each and competed in five rounds of bowling and arcade games

Through a blend of camaraderie and strategic gameplay, Team Japnit emerged victorious, claiming a well-deserved Grab voucher. Before taking to the lanes, the teams topped up their energy reserves as they broke bread together over lunch.

It was a great way for Team Spire to step away from work together and bond, and we also identified some championship-winning keglers and arcade players in our midst!

Spire Singapore clients enjoyed a night out at the movies on 21 July as they watched secret agent Ethan Hunt do the impossible – Mission: Impossible, that is.

Guests were hosted by Spire’s consultants at the evening event at GV VivoCity Cinema, where they tucked into a light dinner of salad, spring rolls, butter rice, sandwiches and more, before watching actor Tom Cruise in his latest blockbuster movie.

For the Spire team, the movie night was a valuable chance to catch up with clients outside of work.

“Events such as these help our consultants build rapport with our clients,” said Japnit Singh, Spire’s Chief Operating Officer. “For us, the client relationship is not just a business one, but a treasured partnership.

This was the second year Spire has hosted the annual Movie Night since Singapore re-opened to activities after the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Spire Research and Consulting recently partnered with the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, for the Marketing Challenge to provide its final year students with a valuable real-world experience. The Marketing Challenge was part of the Marketing Strategy and Implementation course at the school. The students gained practical insights into business marketing by analysing Spire’s marketing efforts, particularly on how to optimize its online presence.

The students (94 in number across 19 teams) worked to conduct in-depth analysis of Spire’s website and social media presence and compare these with their competitors’ digital strategies. They came-up with innovative and thought-provoking marketing ideas.

The four-month project culminated in final presentations in early-June 2023, with the students revealing their findings and recommendations to Spire’s executives. Their enthusiasm and dedication shone through their presentations, and they delivered valuable insights to Spire, creating a mutually beneficial learning experience for both the students and the company.

Spire Research and Consulting wishes the winning teams and students of the Marketing Challenge the very best in their future endeavours. You all were great!
