Spire’s COO on health and nutrition attitudes in Southeast Asia

Spire Chief Operating Officer, Japnit Singh, spoke at a seminar hosted by @ThinkUSADairy last week entitled, Exploring U.S. Dairy Protein Nutrition and Innovation Advantages Throughout Life’s Journey.

When it comes to health and nutrition, concerns such as cost, health and product choices are at the top of Southeast Asian consumers’ minds.

Spire Research and Consulting’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Japnit Singh, revealed this at a recent seminar attended by over 100 diverse stakeholders in the food and nutrition sector.

Japnit shared key findings from the extensive research Spire had conducted on behalf of U.S. Dairy Export Council among consumers in Southeast Asia. He also explained how Southeast Asian consumers are balancing health-conscious food choices with value and taste in a post COVID-19 era that is coupled with inflation.

The audience included the sector’s regional key opinion leaders, health professionals such as dietitians and nutritionists, academia as well as key R&D and technical personnel from food and beverage manufacturers and food service.
